Nail Varnish Galore.

Having painted nails is like having a tan, it makes everything better.
I think it is so important to take care of your nails as they are so noticeable and can really bring an outfit together and make your hands look so much nicer!

I have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with nail varnish and I struggle to go into Boots and not buy a new colour! I love how many shades you can get, each one slightly different and therefore needed to add to my collection...

At the moment I am loving the pink/nude colours. I find that having a neutral nail colour is very classic and is also convenient as it goes with any outfit! But also pink is quite a nice summery, bright colour and makes me feel a bit more girly.

Rimmel is by far my favourite brand of nail varnish and whilst all of their nail varnishes are good, practically all of my colours are Rimmel 60 Seconds as I find that it gives good coverage and because it dries so fast it very rarely smudges! I'm a fairly impatient person and so waiting for nail varnish to dry is not really my forte.

However whilst Rimmel is my go-to brand, I have been pleasantly surprised by these brands below.
1 - I got given this Fearne nail varnish for Christmas and was very skeptical about how good it would be, however I can genuinely say it is my favourite red nail varnish. I would definitely recommend it.
2 - Whilst I knew that Barry M was a good brand for nail varnish, for some reason I never really tested any out. I got given the 'confetti nail effects' in 'sour apple' by a friend and it is honestly the coolest thing! You apply it over a base layer of nail varnish (I usually go for pink/nude) and it looks amazing! However the reason I haven't done it to show you is that it is a nightmare to take off and takes absolutely forever. So be warned...
3 - This Jack Wills nail varnish is pricy at £6, but it is a lovely pale pink/nude colour and I really love wearing it as it makes me feel very elegant.

For my base coat or if I don't have time to paint my nails any colour, I use the Sally Hansen 'Hard as Nails' strengthening varnish. I have quite weak nails and this varnish really helps them stay strong and prevents them breaking too much.

I apologise that the following demonstration nails were not painted particularly well but I thought it would be nice to show you a couple of the colours actually on nails!

--> This pink is a classic and so good as an everyday nail varnish as it goes with pretty much any outfit! Sadly I'm running out and will have to get a new one very soon.

--> Whilst this orange colour is quite "out there" I really love how bright it is and think it is perfect for summer.

I would love to hear any recommendations of brands of nail varnish you have been loving so I can branch out a bit from Rimmel, or any colours that are particularly amazing!
